VAPOUR TRAILS

Vapour trails across the sky
A blood clot leaks into the perfect eye
A butterfly dries in the paintwork of my mind

And I wish I was a vapour trail - across the sky
And I wish – that I was sometimes someone else - in your eyes
I wish - that I wasn't the bee
Hitting myself off the window panes of our lives

A moth hits my blue electric field
A mother cries for the time the father steals
Another pothole in the road works on our lives
