Since my last Jake performance almost six months ago I was surprised at how difference his performance his confidence appeared to have grown and he played the piano like he really meant both of these attributed to an overall outstanding gig, his voice as always was awesome and I overheard someone telling him at the end of his set that was the best they had ever heard him sing and I agree.

If Jake continues on this level he will be someone to sit up and take notice of not only does he have the determination and the talent he also has the ability to sing and write songs with great emotion and intensity.

A fantastic set, loved the new one 'I Won't Be Keeping You' which is a real upbeat number, looking forward to more gigs in the future.

We'll check it out from there and you could see Jake playing in the venue of your choice.

I saw all 5 dates in my quest to see The Sned, although I think the final two also included the chance to see Jake also.

Three incredibly talented guys took to the stage every night and gave it there all, Chris was superb and I loved his looping thingy with his guitar.

David was of course fantastic as always with his fab new guitarist Dave Mullins and well worth the 2000 miles i drove that week.

Then we come to Jake, I'm not gonna gush ok but he truly is amazing from his vocals, his lyrics and the emotion with which he sings, didnt I just say I wasnt gonna gush.

All we need it some more dates lined up so we can do it all again, perhaps a little further up north next would be good.

Ok...Anyone Who Wants Jake To Come Up North Sign This Petition. Because i have promoted my Ass Off For Jake & Not Seen Him Live Once.... As he is always Down South.... Naughty North South Divide. lol.

The last of Jake's summer gigs took place in the very charming Regal Rooms in Hammersmith, along with three other acts Jake sang 6 songs in total to a full room. For me there is obviously something about Jake and a piano because he has never sounded better in fact I got goosebumps listening to him sing this evening.

With a friendly atmosphere and quick turn arounds the night went smoothly, playing 3rd in first half and last in the second Jake not only gave us spectacular vocals but also a healthy dose of his great sense of humour. Although I have been to all of the gigs this to me was Jake at his best, this gig reminded me of the very first gig I saw Jake perform on the mini 'Myspace Tour' with David Sneddon back in 2007, when I first noticed him and realised what a great talent he was.

Wearing a black jumper and jeans, Jake played two brand new songs 'I Won't Be Keeping You',this had the audience tapping there feet with the beat, I loved this one instantly it totally grabbed me as chart friendly, a great uplifting song although the lyrics suggest a relationship breaking down, I hope we get to hear a recorded version of this one songs with production can be very very different to an acoustic version.

The second newbie 'Red Balloon' surprising simple lyrics to this one. I usually find Jake's songs more complex but this was an endearing number which on first hearing felt it would be a grower add some old favourites to the mix you get a brilliant selection of songs that went down extremely well with the audience, judging by the applause he received.

A rainy night in London didn't put people off coming to this venue. A nice venue although the grand piano was badly situated at the back in the corner and if you were there to see an artist on the keyboard then your view was badly obstructed. Doing four songs, two in the first and two in the second half.

This was the first gig where I had seen Jake playing a piano rather than keyboards and the difference in sound to the songs was quite startling. Dressed in jeans and black shirt Jake gave a fantastic vocal performance as always and received great applause from the audience.

Jake performed in what has to be the cosiest venue in London, joined by other LoneBoyStore artists Natascha Sohl and Beryl Marsden the night was jammed packed with people and fantastic music.

With the audience participating in Jake's cover of 'Back For Good' it gave the evening a real cheery atmosphere. Despite the bad weather the venue was full and the people who turned out seemed to really enjoy the evening. Jake sporting a new jacket and grey t-shirt with slogan played keyboards and Francis Haines accompanied him on guitar.

A fairly new venue the Source Below is unusual in it's layout situated in the basement of the The Source Café. It was a very cheerful and relaxed Jake who played five songs to a captivated audience, back behind the keyboard and accompanied by Francis Haines on guitar, Jake really was in good form.

Gig three of Jake's UK Tour took him to The Troubadour in London accompanied this time by David Mullins on guitar and Francis Haines ..boards, Jake sang six songs in total, singing two songs never done before one of which was totally new.

Certainly the best vocal performance I've heard Jake give and a wide range of songs from the very poignant 'Already Gone' to the familiair 'Fireflies' the fantastic cover of the George Michael hit 'Careless Whisper' the rather raunchy 'Satisfied?' from his SXY Ep and the brilliant new track 'There You Are' which is now a firm favourite.

With the amazing David Sneddon and newcomer Dave Gibson also joining Jake on tonights bill, the audience were treated to an astounding night of great vocal performances.

From the outside the Revue Bar doesn't look big but it has a tardis effect with an old cinema feel and numerous stairs, it was my first visit to this venue and I wasn't disappointed, the room was very dark with a large stage slightly raised from the dance floor. The seating was in different levels and imitated old fashioned booths, in red leather with little black tables and big round globe lights on each, the bar ran along the whole of the back wall with more standing space in front of it, mostly I noticed it had a great atmosphere despite the fact the seating layout gave a certain privacy to its customers.

Wearing black shirt, jeans and grey tie Jake sang seven songs in total to a full bar, it had been almost a year since I last saw Jake perform live and I had forgotten just how good he was, starting with the very beautiful ballad Waterfalls and then onto the much loved Fireflies both songs coming from his forthcoming album 'The Butterfly Observations'.

Written about one of Jakes favourite London views newcomer 'Alexandra Hill' was a great song and I'm sure will become a popular addition to Jakes set, as if this wasn't enough next was another first, taken from Jake's indiestore number one EP, SXY was the simplistic but emotive 'Silent Whispers'.

I was in for a treat next when Jake did an absolutely fantastic cover version of George Michael's 'Careless Whisper' one of my all time favourite songs I was totally blown away by this and so were the crowd, who began to clap and cheer and then sing along with Jake, who kept the mood going by following up with the very popular Take That song 'Back for Good', by this point the crowd were really hyped and there singing grew louder.

Finishing his set with another debut song, Jake sang the very heartfelt and poignant 'Already Gone', he gave a flawless and emotional performance to a now quiet audience. Combined with an amazing vocal performance his great sense of humour and of course some incredible songs it was without a doubt that Jake would and was well received.
