i think...

I am a Michael Moore fan. So this is basicially my only reason for choosing this movie for my first movie club selection.

Now don't get me wrong - i know when I'm watching a one sided story - but the problem with today's media - we often only get to here - shall I say - the wrong side?

This is one of the more touching documentary films to be made by Michael Moore purely because of the actual story.

I resisted watching this moving for a while, because I really wasn't sure what it was about... Bowling? Although I love bowling, but I didn't wanna watch a movie about it. I lost 2 hours of my life to King Pin - I'm not going through that again! However - I was told, that it actually wasn't about Bowling, but a film documentary about the interesting relationship between the US and guns.

Now as a Brit boy I really don't get the gun culture in the US and I think this film goes someway to explain, but, it still left a nasty taste in my mouth. I implore you to watch this movie - See if it changes your mind about guns.

This film opens the audience to the fear, the violence and bigotry that happens on a daily basis in the US. Be prepared to be shocked, digusted and sadden by the events that roll out infront of you.

Let me know...

  1. Bowling For Columbine is a brilliant movie. The first time I watched this movie was in one of my highschool classes and I couldn't help but cry when they showed the security camera footage of what happened.
